    Ian Law Chief Executive Officer

    Ian Law was appointed CEO of the PBL Media Group in February 2007 after serving as CEO of ACP Magazines from May 2006 to February 2007. Before joining ACP Magazines, Ian was Managing Director and CEO of West Australian Newspapers Holdings Limited, a Perth-based company with a market capitalisation of approximately $2 billion involved in newspaper and magazine publishing, printing, digital services, radio broadcasting and cinemas.

    Previously, Ian held a number of senior executive positions with Rural Press Limited, including General Manager and Editor-in-Chief of Regional Publishing, General Manager of Special Projects, and General Manager of Agricultural Publishing. He started in the media as a journalist.

    Ian is a Director of various companies including ninemsn Pty Limited and carsales.com.au Limited. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

    Phil Scott Group Publishing Director - ACP Magazines

    Phil Scott rejoined ACP Magazines in November 2002 as Group Publisher for the Men's Lifestyle division comprising 16 titles across Men's Interest, Sport and Motoring genres. He took on additional responsibilities for the Specialist division in 2003, which includes magazines as diverse as Gourmet Traveller, Australian House & Garden and Money, and added the Custom Publishing division soon afterwards.

    He was appointed Publishing Director of Men’s, Specialist & Custom in 2008 and has responsibility for a portfolio of more than 42 consumer magazines, 16 custom titles and associated web sites. He was the driving force behind acquisition of the former EMAP Australian operations in 2007 and the formation of the joint venture with BBC Worldwide in 2008, for which he is the general manager. He laid down ACP’s food strategy which includes the successful launch of Good Food in 2008 and the imminent acquisition of recipes+*.

    Phil has over 30 years’ experience as a journalist, editor and publisher in print, on television and the web. Prior to rejoining ACP Magazines, Phil was Managing Editor of The Sydney Morning Herald, one of Australia’s quality broadsheets. He also developed two successful web sites while at Fairfax. Prior to that he was a specialist Editor-in-Chief at ACP until 1995 where he was best known as the editor of Wheels magazine. After training as a journalist at the Sydney Morning Herald, he ventured into television as a scriptwriter and later as a successful magazine editor with ACP. He was a Sunday newspaper columnist with the Sun Herald

    Lynette Phillips Director of Sales - ACP Magazines

    As Director of Sales, Lynette Phillips head up the advertising teams of ACP Magazines. This extensive portfolio of more than 57 well-known titles includes The Australian Women’s Weekly, FHM, Cosmopolitan, Dolly, Top Gear, Grazia, Gourmet Traveller, Harper’s BAZAAR, ZOO, madison, House & Garden, Woman’s Day and Belle.

    Lynette’s career at ACP spans over 18 years and during the last 12 months she has played an instrumental role as Publisher & Sales Director - Women’s Lifestyle. She has made key editorial appointments, changing the face of the executive team, including Editor of The Australian Women’s Weekly and Editor of Woman’s Day and has overseen the successful relaunches of Good Health and NW

    Prior to this, as Director of Sales - Women’s Lifestyle, Lynette led the advertising teams in the launches of Harper’s BAZAAR, Shop Til You Drop, madison, and most recently the weekly fashion and lifestyle bible, Grazia. During this period, Lynette has also overseen the major relaunch of ACP’s flagship title, The Australian Women’s Weekly.

    Australia’s first-ever month-long fashion and beauty festival, 30 Days of Fashion & Beauty was successfully launched by Lynette and will run for a fourth consecutive year in 2010. The Australian Beauty Awards, also implemented by Lynette, will run for the second consecutive year.

    Lynette maintains a close relationship with ACP’s joint-venture partners Hearst Magazines and Mondadori, with the JV titles of Harper’s BAZAAR, Cosmopolitan, madison and Grazia falling within her portfolio.

    Lynette is a board member of the ‘Fragrance Foundation’ and the ‘Cancer Patients Foundation’ which incorporates the ‘Dream Ball’ and ‘Look Good… Feel Better’ committees. Lynette also sits on the committee for ‘Fashion Targets Breast Cancer’.
