ACP Magazines launches new campaign focusing on editorial standards
October 12

ACP Magazines this week launched a major promotional campaign – “the power of great journalism” – sending the message that it is raising the bar on editorial standards across its women’s lifestyle titles including The Australian Women’s Weekly, Woman’s Day, NW, CLEO, Cosmopolitan and Harper’s BAZAAR.
“We are excited about the quality of a number of more recent appointments and we are setting out to make our titles more interesting, more credible, more believable, and more influential,” said Lynette Phillips, Publishing and Sales Director of the Women’s Lifestyle Group.
The campaign coincides with a number of senior changes to the editorial executive.
“It is about cultural change within ACP Magazines and we are delighted to show our commitment to producing better magazines through the calibre of the people editing them,” said Phillips of the greater focus on content and editorial standards
The catalyst stemmed from the raft of recent changes in the editorial leadership across a range of titles in recent months, including The Australian Women’s Weekly, Woman’s Day, NW, and Harper’s BAZAAR. These appointments follow changes in most of the other senior positions in the group over the past 18 months.
Phillips said: “We are confident the new members of the editorial team give us the people to really take these iconic titles to another level. We are already seeing major changes and improved sales in Woman’s Day and several of the monthly titles, including CLEO, which has undergone a complete transformation.
“Changes are also being rolled out across Harper’s BAZAAR and The Australian Women’s Weekly. The Weekly now has a formidable editorial team to take it to the next level.”
“We felt the “the power of good journalism” concept was a good way to focus how we are thinking about magazine publishing. “
The promotional campaign features 14 editors in a print based campaign that will run in national newspapers from Monday, October 12.
